Mercedes Bluetooth SAP Cradle

This is the genuine Mercedes Bluetooth SAP (V2) cradle for cars with phone prewiring and exchangeable cradles. The cradle connects to the cradle connector which is under the cover normally in the centre glovebox, if your car has phone pre-wiring.

You can then use the steering wheel controls, and the Audio/Comand display and instrument cluster display to make/receive calls, and using COMAND can even send/receive text messages.

This cradle is suitable for older D2B based cars aswell as the newer MOST based cars with the exchangeable cradle system. However please note that most phones will not allow you to dial on their keypads when in remote SIM mode and so you need to have an Audio system with a telephone keypad, such as COMAND, COMAND-APS, Audio 20, Audio 30, Audio 50 etc.

And we have tested the following:
Nokia N73
Nokia 6500
Nokia 8800

And we know that it generally works well with the latest Nokia phones (i.e. those newer than the 6230 / Nokia N73)

We know it does NOT work with Windows Mobile 6 based smart phones which do have a SAP implementation, and it will not download the memory phonebook with the Nokia E60.

Please note this cradle is a phone in itself, and works on GSM900 and GSM1800 networks, therefore it will not work on the 3G networks (such as UK's '3' network) or USA / Canada networks
